A Suzuki APV with a driver costs PKR 7,000 for a 12 hour day in Lahore. Overtime is PKR 500 an hour, fuel is added at cost, there is no kilometre limit and no deposit. It seats eight and still has luggage space behind the last row, which is the one thing a seven seat SUV cannot claim.

The most common expensive mistake in this market is a family of six booking a seven seat SUV, discovering the third row eats the boot, and paying for a second car. The APV solves that for PKR 7,000.
What it is right for
- An airport run for a whole family. Eight people and their bags, one fixed fare rather than two cars.
- A day of family visits around Lahore. Sliding doors and eight seats.
- Nankana Sahib or Faisalabad for a group. Both short enough that comfort is not the deciding factor.
- Anyone who would otherwise book two sedans. PKR 7,000 against PKR 11,000, with one driver instead of two.
What it is wrong for
- Long motorway days. For Islamabad and beyond, the BR-V or the Hiace are more comfortable.
- Anything formal. It is a practical vehicle and it looks like one.

APV or BR-V
The APV has one more seat, more luggage room and costs PKR 1,000 less. The BR-V is more comfortable, automatic, and better on the motorway. For an airport run with bags, take the APV. For a long drive, take the BR-V. Thirteen people rather than eight means the Hiace Grand Cabin.
