What Does the Driver Cost in a Lahore Car Rental?
His wage is ours. His food and his bed on the road are yours, and both are published figures rather than something raised at the end of a long day.
The driver is included in every rate on this site and is never a separate charge. The only driver related cost is the allowance: PKR 500 for a full day inside Lahore, and PKR 2,000 a night when a trip keeps him away from Lahore overnight. Both are quoted with the booking, and the driver never asks you for money on the day.

The allowance is small and it is real. A driver on a 12 hour day in Lahore eats, and a driver who has taken you to Multan sleeps somewhere. Pretending those costs do not exist is how they end up being collected informally, from you, at the end, by the person least able to negotiate.
The market
Five answers to one question, on one website
Reading Lahore rental sites in August 2026, the driver charge produced more contradictions than any other figure. One site, in the same week, published a PKR 500 driver food allowance on its homepage terms table, PKR 3,000 driver charges on two vehicle pages, PKR 2,000 per day on a third, and driver charges free of cost within Lahore on a fourth. All four pages were live. All four were indexed.
Elsewhere the charge exists but has no number attached: a fixed cost that includes car rent and driver meal allowance, with the allowance never quantified anywhere on the site. And one agreement adds a further PKR 1,000 driver allowance on Eid and national holidays, which is fair enough, but is discoverable only by reading a terms page most customers never open.
Why this one is worth caring about
Because it is the charge most likely to be settled in cash, on a driveway, at eleven at night, between a customer who wants to go inside and a driver who has been working since eight in the morning. Neither of them set the policy and neither of them benefits from it being vague. Publishing a figure takes the argument out of the driveway.

Who is actually driving
- He is ours, not a contractor with your booking attached. That matters when something goes wrong, because responsibility for the driving stays with us rather than resting on a man in his own car.
- He does not hold your documents. We take a photo of your CNIC at the office. There is nothing to hand over and nothing to get back.
- He does not negotiate. The rate, the overtime, the allowance and the fuel are agreed before he arrives. He is there to drive.
- He carries the responsibility for the vehicle. A chauffeur driven hire is the one arrangement where a scratch is not automatically your problem. That is set out on the damage page.
- Tell us what the day involves. A wedding, a hospital run, a long motorway drive and a day of client meetings all suit different drivers, and we would rather match it than send whoever is free.

How much does a driver cost with rent a car in Lahore?
With us the driver is inside the rate and costs nothing extra. The allowance is PKR 500 for a full day in Lahore and PKR 2,000 a night out of the city. Elsewhere in this market the same question has been answered with PKR 500, PKR 2,000, PKR 3,000 and free of cost, all on one website at the same time.
Do I have to feed the driver?
You can, and many people do, in which case the daily allowance does not apply. It is PKR 500 or a meal, not both. On an overnight trip the PKR 2,000 covers his food and a bed; if you are arranging his stay yourself, say so when you book.
Will the driver ask me for money?
No. Everything is settled with the office against the figures agreed at the start. If a driver on any hire asks you directly for fuel money, an allowance or a tip as a condition of continuing, that is not a driver problem, it is a company problem.
Do the drivers speak English?
Some do. Tell us when you book that you need one and we will assign accordingly rather than promising it on every car and hoping.
How many hours can a driver work?
The duty day is 12 hours, and overtime is charged by the hour after that. On long outstation runs we would rather plan an overnight than push a driver through a 16 hour drive, and we will say so when you book rather than after something goes wrong.
