Cancelling or Changing a Lahore Car Rental Booking
One policy, stated once, and the same for everyone. Which is less common in this market than it sounds.
Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup and you owe nothing, because nothing was taken to hold the booking. Inside 24 hours, half of the first day is retained. Changes to the time, the date or the vehicle are free whenever the vehicle is available, and if we cannot supply what you booked, we tell you rather than sending something smaller and hoping.

The reason a cancellation policy can be this simple is the absence of an advance. Almost everything complicated about cancellation terms in this industry exists to govern money that has already changed hands.
The market
What else is published in Lahore
Cancellation is one of the few terms operators here do write down, which makes the variation instructive. From published Lahore pages read in August 2026:
- Free up to 24 hours before pickup, with a 25 per cent advance retained inside that window. Clear and reasonable.
- A penalty of 30 per cent of the total rental amount in case of cancellation, with no time window attached at all. On a five day Prado booking that is a substantial sum for changing your mind a week out.
- Advance payment is not refundable in case of cancellation and, on the same site, advance payment is refundable if the trip is cancelled before 24 hours. Two live pages, two policies, no way to know which governs your booking.
- Seven days notice required to end a monthly rental, plus a full day's charge with fuel and driver costs on early termination.
- Nothing at all, on most sites. The question simply is not addressed.
The question worth asking
Not what is your cancellation policy, which produces a friendly answer. Ask: if I cancel tomorrow morning, in rupees, what do I owe. A policy that cannot be converted into a figure is not a policy.

What is the cancellation policy for rent a car in Lahore?
Ours is free above 24 hours and half of the first day inside it. Across the market it varies from free cancellation to a 30 per cent penalty on the whole rental, and at least one operator publishes two different cancellation policies on two live pages of the same site.
Do I lose my advance if I cancel?
There is no advance with us, so there is nothing to lose. Where an advance is taken elsewhere, published terms range from fully refundable above 24 hours to not refundable in any circumstances.
Can I change the date or the time?
Yes, free, whenever the vehicle is available. Tell us as early as you can and it is usually straightforward. A change made an hour before pickup is a different conversation from one made the night before.
What if you cancel on me?
We tell you as early as we know and we find you the vehicle from elsewhere in the fleet at the rate you were quoted. A booking we cannot fill is our failure to solve, not yours to absorb.
What if the car arrives and it is not what I booked?
Refuse it and call the office. You owe nothing for a vehicle you did not book and did not take.
