What Does It Cost to Rent a Car in Lahore?
Not the headline figure. The daily rate, the duty day it buys, the overtime rate, the driver allowance, the fuel, the toll, the tax, and what the total actually comes to.
A chauffeur driven car in Lahore costs between PKR 4,000 and PKR 30,000 per day. That daily rate buys a 12 hour duty day with the driver included and the car delivered free anywhere in the city. Fuel, parking and the Lahore Ring Road toll are added at cost. A driver allowance of PKR 500 applies on a full day. There is no kilometre limit and no deposit.

A daily rate on its own is not a price. Here is a full day worked end to end, on the vehicle most people book, with nothing left out and nothing rounded in our favour.

How the fuel figure was reached. A Corolla GLi returns roughly 10 kilometres to the litre in Lahore traffic, so 120 km is about 12 litres. At the petrol price in the OGRA notification effective 12 September 2026, PKR 375.82 a litre, that is about PKR 4,500 for a full tank and about PKR 1,900 for the distance above. Two things in that table are worth pausing on. The fuel line is an estimate because your driving is, and it is billed against what the car actually used rather than against a package. The three zeros are not estimates. They are policy, and they are the same on every booking.

The daily rate answers one question. These answer the rest. Each row is a charge that exists somewhere in this market, with our position on it stated once.

The market
Why comparing daily rates gets people overcharged
We read every published page of 17 Lahore rent a car operators in August 2026 and checked what each one actually states in writing. Daily rates are published everywhere. Almost nothing else is.
None of that is a moral failing. It is what happens when a rate page is written to win a phone call rather than to settle a bill. But it does mean a Lahore customer comparing two daily rates is comparing two numbers that measure different things, and the cheaper one is very often the more expensive booking.
The only fair comparison
Take the daily rate. Add the driver allowance. Add the overtime you are likely to need, at the published hourly rate. Add the kilometre charge, if there is one. Add fuel. Add tax, if it goes on top. That figure is the price. Anything else is an advertisement.
If an operator cannot give you all six numbers before you book, the missing ones are not zero. They are unknown, and they will be decided after the car comes back.
Spending less
Five ways to pay less without renting a worse car
- Book the hours you need, not the day you were sold. A 12 hour duty day is generous for an airport run or a half day of meetings. Airport transfers are a fixed fare, not a day, and cost a fraction of one.
- Take the sedan, not the SUV, unless the road demands it. A Corolla GLi and a Fortuner do the same job on a motorway. The difference between PKR 5,500 and PKR 15,000 buys ground clearance you will not use between Lahore and Islamabad.
- Ask for the route fare on any trip out of the city. A fixed fare with fuel and tolls inside it removes the two most volatile lines from the bill. A day rate on a long drive leaves both open.
- Start early rather than finish late. Overtime begins at hour 13, wherever that hour falls. Moving a 10am start to 8am costs nothing and buys the same two hours you would otherwise pay for at the end.
- For anything above two weeks, ask for the monthly figure. Holding a car and a driver by the month is priced differently from stacking daily rates, and for a regular commute it is usually materially cheaper.
What we do not suggest is hunting the lowest advertised daily rate. In this market that number is the one most likely to be recovered somewhere else on the bill.

What is the cheapest car to rent in Lahore with a driver?
A Suzuki Wagon R at PKR 4,000 for a 12 hour day inside Lahore, with the driver included and the car delivered to your address at no charge. Fuel is added at cost and a PKR 500 driver allowance applies on a full day.
Is the price per day or per 12 hours?
Per day, and the day is 12 duty hours. Hour 13 is charged at the overtime rate printed against that vehicle, which is PKR 500 an hour on cars and PKR 2,000 an hour on SUVs, vans and the coach. Nothing changes at midnight.
Does the quoted rate include the driver?
Yes. Every rate on this site is with a driver. The driver is never a separate line on the bill. The only driver related charge is the allowance, which is PKR 500 for a full day inside Lahore and PKR 2,000 a night when a trip keeps him away from Lahore overnight.
Is fuel included in the daily rate?
Not on a hire inside Lahore. You buy the fuel the car actually uses, at the pump price, and it appears on the bill at cost. Fuel is already inside the out of city route fares and the airport fares, because those are fixed price journeys rather than open ended days.
Is there a kilometre limit?
No, not inside Lahore, on any vehicle. Since you are already buying the fuel, charging per kilometre as well would bill you twice for the same distance. What bounds the day is the 12 hour duty period, not an odometer.
Do I have to pay an advance or a deposit?
No. Nothing is taken to hold a booking and no security deposit is held. You settle at the end of the hire against the figures agreed at the start. We hold a photo of your CNIC, and no original documents.
Are the rates the same for a wedding or a tour?
The daily rate is the same vehicle at the same rate. A wedding is usually a shorter shift rather than a cheaper one, and a multi day tour is quoted as a route fare with fuel and tolls inside it rather than as a stack of daily rates.
