What Documents Do You Need to Rent a Car in Lahore?
One photograph. That is the whole requirement on a chauffeur driven hire, and there is a reason it is not more.
One photograph of your CNIC, or of your passport or NICOP if you are visiting Pakistan. Nothing else. No driving licence, because you are not driving. No utility bill, no guarantor, no original documents handed over, no deposit and no advance. We send the quote and the vehicle details to your WhatsApp and you settle at the end of the hire.

Paperwork is a proxy for risk
Every document a rental company asks for is there to manage one risk: the customer drives away and something happens that the company cannot control. Address verification, a guarantor, a held original, a large deposit. All of it is about the moment the car leaves with a stranger in the driving seat.
On our hires that moment never arrives. Our driver takes the car out and brings it back. The paperwork collapses to identification, because identification is all a legitimate business needs from a passenger.
This is worth knowing before you compare offers. A self drive quote that looks cheaper is also a quote that comes with a licence check, an address that must belong to you or your parents, a guarantor, a deposit whose amount is usually unpublished, and liability for the driving. The paperwork is not bureaucracy. It is the price of the product.
On handing over originals
Leaving an original CNIC as security is common in this market and it is worth declining. A photograph proves who you are. An original proves nothing more, and getting it back depends entirely on the relationship staying pleasant until the end of the hire.
The booking
From message to car, in four steps
- Tell us the date, the time, the address and roughly where you are going. The last part matters, because it decides whether a day rate or a fixed fare is cheaper for you.
- We send the full figure in writing. The daily rate or route fare, the duty hours, the overtime rate, the allowance and how fuel will be handled. Not a starting from price.
- Send one photo of your CNIC and confirm. Nothing is taken to hold the booking.
- The car comes to you at the agreed hour, anywhere in Lahore, at no delivery charge. You settle at the end, against the figures you already have in writing.

What documents are required to rent a car in Lahore?
For a chauffeur driven hire with us, a photograph of your CNIC. For a visitor, a photograph of the passport page or a NICOP. That is the complete list. Self drive anywhere in this market requires far more, including a licence, address verification and usually a guarantor.
Do I need a driving licence?
No. You are a passenger. This is one of the quiet advantages of chauffeur driven hire that almost nobody states: there is no licence to produce and no international driving permit to arrange.
Do you keep my original CNIC?
No, and you should be careful with any business that asks to. A photograph gives a company everything it legitimately needs. An original gives it leverage.
Can someone else book on my behalf?
Yes. We need the CNIC photo of whoever is responsible for the booking and a contact number for whoever is travelling. Corporate bookings work the same way with the company name on the invoice.
