Business in the south
A single day return for a meeting works. Seven hours of driving is a lot but the road is undemanding, and an executive who arrives having worked in the back seat is in better shape than one who has driven.
The shrines
Multan is one of the great pilgrimage cities of Punjab. Bahauddin Zakariya, Shah Rukn-e-Alam and the old city are close together, which makes a driver who knows where to park more useful than a map.

How much is a car from Lahore to Multan?

How long does Lahore to Multan take?
About three and a half hours for roughly 330 kilometres, motorway the whole way. It is quicker than Islamabad despite being a similar distance, because there is no Salt Range climb.
Which motorways does it use?
The M3 from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem, then the M4 into Multan. The National Highway Authority car toll is PKR 1,000 on the M3 and PKR 1,350 on the M4, both effective 10 July 2026, and both are inside our fare.
Can I do Multan and back in a day?
Seven hours of driving plus whatever you are there for. It is a long but reasonable day for a single meeting, and we quote it as the return fare. For anything more, stay the night and add the PKR 2,000 driver allowance.
Do you go on to Bahawalpur, Sukkur or Karachi?
Yes. The M5 continues south from Multan to Sukkur. Karachi is about 1,220 kilometres and is quoted in the table on this page. Bahawalpur and anything else in the south is quoted the same way, as a fixed fare.
