What it is right for
- A full working day of meetings. Comfortable to sit in for twelve hours, which is the actual test.
- The motorway. Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad. A sedan at speed uses materially less fuel than an SUV, and on a route fare that saving is already inside the number.
- Airport runs for up to four people. Fixed fare, four suitcases, no fuss.
- Visiting family. The car nobody has to be told how to get into.
What it is wrong for
- Six or more people. Take the BR-V or the APV.
- Rough roads and the far north. Ground clearance is the whole issue. See the northern areas page.
- Being seen arriving. For a wedding or a formal pickup the Civic, Prado or Land Cruiser do a different job.
- The tightest old city streets, where a Wagon R is simply the better tool.

How much is a Toyota Corolla per day in Lahore?
PKR 5,500 for a 12 hour duty day with a driver, delivered free. Published Lahore rates for the same car range from about PKR 5,350 to PKR 6,000, but most of those are attached to a shorter duty day or an unpublished overtime rate, which is where the real difference sits.
Is the Corolla automatic?
Yes. So are the Yaris and the Honda City at the same rate. If you specifically want a manual, the Cultus and Wagon R are manual and cheaper.
Corolla, Yaris or City?
All three are PKR 5,500 and all three do the same job. The Corolla is the most familiar and has the best rear seat for three. Tell us which you prefer and we will send it if it is free; otherwise we will tell you before dispatch rather than substituting quietly.
Can a Corolla go to Islamabad?
Comfortably, and it is the car we would recommend for it. Out of city trips are quoted as a fixed route fare with fuel and the motorway toll already inside the number: Islamabad is PKR 18,000 one way and PKR 32,000 return.
How much fuel will a Corolla day use?
For planning, budget roughly ten kilometres a litre in Lahore traffic. A 120 kilometre day is about twelve litres, which at the petrol price in the OGRA notification effective 12 September 2026 is roughly PKR 4,500.
